Continuem amb el tercer i \u00faltim representant del moviment del Modernisme i amb importants obres a Barcelona i tot Catalunya. A Matar\u00f3, va assumir el c\u00e0rrec d&#8217;arquitecte municipal amb nom\u00e9s vint anys d&#8217;edat. Durant els 5 anys en aquest lloc va construir tamb\u00e9 els seus primers edificis a la mateixa ciutat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Va ser nomenat catedr\u00e0tic a l&#8217;Escola d&#8217;Arquitectura de Barcelona i a l&#8217;agost de 1917 va assumir el c\u00e0rrec de President de la Mancomunitat de Catalunya, en substituci\u00f3 de Prat de la Riba.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Com altres dirigents catalanistes, Puig i Cadafalch va recolzar en 1923 el cop d&#8217;Estat de Primo de Rivera.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Puig va ser deixeble de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cafur.es\/blog\/arquitectes-de-barcelona-lluis-domenech-i-montaner\/\">Llu\u00eds Dom\u00e8nech i Montaner<\/a>, i \u00e9s considerat l&#8217;\u00faltim representant del modernisme<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La seva obra pot dividir-se en tres per\u00edodes:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">el per\u00edode modernista : amb edificis com la Casa Amatller i la Casa de les Punxes, totes realitzades entre 1895 i 1905.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">el per\u00edode d&#8217;idealisme racional: edificis com la Casa Trinxet, la Casa Muntades i la Casa Company s\u00f3n els m\u00e9s destacats.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">el per\u00edode monumentalista, al voltant del per\u00edode de l&#8217;Exposici\u00f3 Internacional de Barcelona (1929), de la qual Puig va ser l&#8217;arquitecte principal.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A m\u00e9s del seu treball com a arquitecte, va realitzar una important tasca com a historiador.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amb la Guerra Civil Espanyola va fugir de pa\u00eds i es va exiliar a Par\u00eds on va donar classes magistrals sobre arquitectura i hist\u00f2ria en nombroses universitats.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Va tornar a Espanya el 1942, on el r\u00e8gim de Franco no li permetia exercir d&#8217;arquitecte i nom\u00e9s va poder rehabilitar i restaurar edificis i monuments hist\u00f2rics.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Va morir el 23 de desembre de 1956 a Barcelona, als vuitanta-nou anys.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>Llibres sobre Josep Puig i Cadafalch&nbsp;<\/b><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-3841\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cafur.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/llibre-puig-i-cadfacl91xXbMT580L-859x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"323\" height=\"385\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3yIqQCo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M\u00e9s informaci\u00f3 i comprar<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<h3><b>Obres destacades de Puig i Cadafalch a Barcelona<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Casa Amatller<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pg. de Gr\u00e0cia, 41 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-3837\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cafur.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/800px-Puig.i.Cadafalch.Casa_.Amatller.Barcelona-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"532\" height=\"798\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1903\/1905 Casa Terrades\/Casa de les Punxes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Av.
